If living in an art deco hotel five minutes from Central Park sounds like a good plan to you, you should talk to Scarlett Martin, who lives at the Hopewell. Living in a hotel may not be as wonderful as it sounds, especially if there are no guests or money. Scarlett's summer takes a turn for the worse when her parents ask her to spend the entire vacation working for free. Fortunately, the hotel receives a visit from the eccentric Mrs. Amberson, who decides to settle at the Hopewell all summer and hire Scarlett as her personal secretary. Thanks to her new job, her new friends and her (maybe) new boyfriend, Scarlett's summer finally promises to be very interesting.
